View
of New Tredegar looking North towards the "Heads of the Valleys"
and the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Mid
summer in New Tredegar and the valley can be seen in all its glory.
Twyn Cornicyll, the peak above the village is clearly visible on the
right above Phillipstown. Beyond
that the peak on the horizon in the far distance (right) is Pen-y-fan;
the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons National Park and just over
15 miles away. The construction taking place in the bottom left of
the picture is the White Rose Way road extension. The road scheme
is a part of the revival strategy for the area and a part of major
investment taking place. The road will take through traffic away from
residential areas.
